Transforming Service to the Customer
At McKean, we believe that history is a great teacher – as long as it inspires continual improvement. It was this belief that served as the basis on which the company was established.
McKean’s principals had successful careers in the Federal engineering and technical consulting arena, as well as distinguished military service. They had also “grown up” in companies known as established market leaders. It was, however, the belief that they could serve the customer better that eventually drove the decision to start a new kind of business.
In 2006 McKean Defense Group was born. Because of the unique blend of history with the customer – a new perspective based on partnership and thought leadership that they brought to the industry; and capability in engineering and technical skills – the company quickly captured prime contracts in the field of lifecycle engineering.
Within a few weeks, McKean acquired a small IT services company with a 20-year history in providing IT and enterprise management solutions to Federal, civilian and DOD customers. With these new skills, McKean’s own enterprise transformation practice took shape.
In a relatively short period of time, McKean has solidified the company focus, serving customers where we have the greatest strength. We are most successful in situations where we can apply our technical potency and creative capability to transform organizations. In fact, these core goals are the basis for our future vision.
