Network Collaboration Among Organizations
Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) today involves collaboration between organizations and availability of advanced technologies to support mission critical projects. The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) is no exception, particularly given the extensive research and development that occurs in support of the fleet. Creating and maintaining a robust, secure and stable backbone is a critical tool in this environment.
CHALLENGE:
McKean recently won a five-year contract to support this very environment. The NSWC Carderock Division has staff in multiple locations, and they expect 24 hours support.
SOLUTION:
McKean IT specialists, with the highest levels of Information Assurance (IA) certification, are supporting the CD network including scanning and remediation management, network enhancements and architecture design, help desk support, cabling and video teleconferencing. Our staff also includes a team providing an interface between the NMCI contractor and the users, setting up NMCI accounts and ensuring NMCI machines are moved, added or changed.
SUCCESS:
Building off the expertise we have acquired supporting engineering customers in this organization, McKean mobilized an IT taskforce within one week of program start-up.
